Until college, home was Leonia, New Jersey, a New York City suburb. I travelled a fair amount, but I didn’t spend much time in the natural world. For instance, I never went camping. Most of what I knew about animals, plants, and rocks came from my science classes (Earth Science and Biology) and nature programs on television. Later, as I ventured out, I found a truly wonderful world, aspects of which I tried to capture in photographs.
